So our “vacation” has came and went in what felt like a blink of the eyes! (Doesn’t it always?!) I use the term vacation with quotes because…well..traveling with a baby, I wouldn’t call exactly a vacation. Both girls I feel had their boat rocked in terms of routines, which I know for sure comes as part of the baggage of the fun. We ended up moving our flights up, just because the thought of wanting to get up again at 4 in the morning to go to the airport made us want to poke our eyes out with a dull crayon. Anywho! We didn’t make it to any theme parks, which to be 100% honest….I ain’t losing any sleep over it! Everything a theme park entails makes me tired just thinking about it! Here’s just a quick little review of some of the “stops” we made during our time in the sunshine state!
Marriott World Center Resort- this was the resort and conference center that was the whole reason we came down, as it was where my husbands work conference was. I must say, in terms of resorts for family friendly, this one has to be pretty high up the list! It not only boasts numerous pools, it has a very baby/toddler friendly splash pad, as well as many outdoor activities to keep kiddos entertained! Kennedy was a big fan!
Orlando International Drive Outlet Mall- I’ve been to this outlet mall several times, but each time I leave, I have one teeny tiny ounce wish I lived down here to go anytime I wanted! They have pretty much every outlet store you could expect, the ones that draw me in are the Victoria’s Secret, the stretch of the children’s stores (Gymboree, carters, Justice for the big girl of course), and of course the old faithfuls of GAP and Nike. The place also sure knows what they’re doing, putting a fidget spinner kiosk at the entrance to the place. *cue spending $30 on two emoji print time wastes…*
Disney Springs- Without going to an actual park this time around, it still was nice going to Disney Springs to get the spirit of all the excited park-goers. The highlight for me was for sure Sprinkles cupcakes! We didn’t do the ATM because we wanted to make sure we were getting the freshest of the fresh, but my goodness, those cupcakes are a special gift for my belly. Those are as smooth as butta!
Winter Park- my sister lives in this adorable community, so we spent a little time there and saw what new has came around! We stopped at their just opened Nordstrom Rack! All the heart eyes– I’ll be sharing my buys here soon! I love going to Nordstrom Rack to begin with, but one that’s brand new that is still so organized and fresh was just on point. My sister and brother in law also took me to a restaurant called “The Coop” which was ON POINT you guys! If you love southern hearty delicious food, with the CUTEST grandmas kitchen/shabby chic mix decor, make sure to stop by this joint! We finished out our time in Winter Park with a stop by the ol’ shake shack!
Winter Garden village– this was a surprising little stop for us on the trip– not only did it help that it was just around the corner from my dads house, and also had a target *cough* hello happy place– it had a lot of the regular go-tos, but it also had a Forever 21 with a Forever21 red included- I’d never heard of what this was before, but cue good old google, I found that it has all of the cheapest of the cheap goods of forever 21 in one spot! What’s better than that?! I’ll be sharing the finds here shortly!
Thanks for stopping by!
